시티 HSBC SCB, 한미銀 지분인수 응찰

시티뱅크, HSBC와 스탠더드차터드(Standard Chartered)가 한미은행 지분 인수를 본격화했다.

12일 영국의 파이낸셜타임스에 따르면 시티뱅크, HSBC와 스탠더드차터드가 한미은행의 지분 36.6%를 인수하기 위한 입찰에 참가했다는 것이다.

또한 싱가포르의 국영 투자기관인 테마섹홀딩스(Temasek Holdings) 역시 이번 입찰에 참가키로 결정해 귀추가 주목된다.
금융권에 따르면 미국의 칼라일그룹과 JP모건 콘소시엄이 보유하고 있는 지분은 약 10억달러에 달하며 의무보유기간(3년)이 이달 15일로 만료됨에 따라 그동안 인수자를 물색해왔다.

한편 스탠더드차터드는 현재 9.8%의 한미은행 지분을 보유해 2대주주이다.

COMPANIES ASIA-PACIFIC: Bids filed for 36.6% stake in Koram Bank



Citibank, HSBC Holdings and Standard Chartered have filed bids for a controlling stake in South Korea`s Koram Bank, people familiar with the situation said yesterday.

Temasek Holdings, Singapore`s state-run investment agency, has also joined the auction for the 36.6 per cent stake in Koram, South Korea`s sixth-largest bank.

A consortium comprising Carlyle, the US-based equity fund, and JP Morgan holds a combined 36.6 per cent stake in Koram. They stand to raise up to $1bn from any sale. A three-year lock-up period preventing the consortium from selling ends this month.
